Keeping America bountiful isn’t easy. Today, our nation’s most productive and resilient land is at risk of being fragmented or lost to development, and farmers face increasing pressure from thinner margins and a changing climate. These challenges for farmers and farmland impact everyone who eats food and loves the amazing cultures of American cuisines, as seen in the new national public television series America The Bountiful.

The new show is a food, history, and travel series exploring the regional food traditions of America, hosted by TV personality, cookbook author, and radio podcast host Capri Cafaro. It is a fun and informative look at the food producers and artisans across the country and we hope you will enjoy it, too!

AFT is sponsoring America The Bountiful to help make the connection between the food we all love, those who provide it, and the land that sustains us all.

“I cannot think of a more fitting partner for our program than America Farmland Trust,” said Capri S. Cafaro, the creator, executive producer, and host of America The Bountiful. “It is our objective to capture stories that celebrate American farmers, acknowledge the importance of agriculture, and help educate audiences about where their food comes from. We are honored to have the support of an organization that holds shared values.”

America The Bountiful premieres April 1 in select markets and will be available soon from your local public television station.
