Florida Restoration Planner

Natalie joined American Farmland Trust’s Land Use and Protection Research team as Florida’s Restoration Planner in October of 2024. As a fourth generation Floridian, she is excited to be working with AFT alongside NRCS to implement NRDA and RESTORE funded projects throughout the state. She is a 2019 graduate of the University of West Florida with a B.S. in Business Administration - Comprehensive Marketing. Natalie has an extensive agricultural background. Her previous jobs included working as a Restoration Planner for the Florida Association of Conservation Districts where she helped manage large scale erosion control and nutrient management projects in the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, she utilized her marketing skills to create written and video content to promote successful projects and partnerships. Prior to working as a planner, Natalie worked as an Operations Manager for a farm that produced beef cattle and ran a fall agritourism operation. She was responsible for managing the cattle herd, growing crops, on-line marketing, managing direct to customer sales, training and managing employees and implementing Best Management Practices on the land. She started her own cattle operation in 2021 with the goal of producing quality beef products to the Northwest Florida area. Natalie is married to her husband Justin. They are currently expecting their first child and are most excited about being able to grow and raise their family on her ancestral farm.
